Inez Marie Bewick – Venetia

By obits

Inez Marie Bewick, 84, of Venetia, died Feb. 4, 2021, in McMurray. She was born May 18, 1936, in Brownsville, the daughter of Robert E. and Nellie Pearl Foster Knight. She is survived by her husband, John Bewick Jr., with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 9, 2020; two sons, Richard “Rick” Bewick and wife Jodi of McMurray, and Stuart Bewick and partner Lori Lee of West Mifflin; daughter, Joanna Bewick of Mt. Lebanon; two grandchildren, Aiden John and Samantha Jo Bewick; two brothers, Robert Andrew Knight and Donna Books of Coraopolis, Gary Russell Knight and wife Sharon of Dothan, Ala.; and a sister, Norma Carden of Finleyville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nadine Morton. Inez grew up on her family farm and graduated from Monongahela High School, Class of 1954, where she made life-long friends, one of whom hosted their weekly Bible study at her home. Inez was athletic and enjoyed participating in and watching sports, especially if her children or grandchildren were playing. She was also a talented seamstress. She faithfully attended both Journey by Grace Church in Belle Vernon and Peters Creek Baptist Church in Library. Inez appreciated music and had a lovely voice, singing in the church choir. Inez was a hard worker, toiling with her family to maintain her father’s farm, and later was an administrative assistant, retiring from the Personnel Staffers Agency in McMurray. In work and life, Inez was highly intelligent, resourceful, quick witted, capable of great acts of kindness and compassion and loved her family immensely. Inez was small in stature, but big in personality, leaving an indelible impression on all those who met her. Anyone who knew her will agree … she was ornery! Inez was also loved, born again and forgiven. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and transitions to a heavenly peace where both her mind and body are restored. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes Foundation (www.sads.org) or the Washington City Mission (www.citymission.org). For the health and safety of all, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., Monongahela. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
