Gerald K. Nicholls Sr. – Monessen

Gerald K. Nicholls Sr., 82, of Monessen, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, in Jefferson Hills Manor. Born in Greensburg on Nov. 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Omar K. and Helen M. Sherbondy Nicholls. Gerald was Christian by faith and enjoyed riding bikes with the Slow Poke Bike Club. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. Besides his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Ro Ann Nicholls; and a sister, Delores Huedner. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and George Yartin of Monessen; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Joyce Nicholls of Perryopolis; five grandchildren, Kristie and Sean Mazurek of Belle Vernon, Raelyn Somogyi, Rebecca Nicholls and Jacob Nicholls, all of Perryopolis and Noah Yartin of Monessen; one great-granddaughter, Allison Somogyi of Perryopolis; and two sisters, Mona Cline of Monessen and La Verne Love of Greensburg. Private family visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 4, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Monessen and the funeral service was held with Pastor Conrad Auel officiating.
