Michael Susick Sr. – Belle Vernon

Michael Susick Sr., 64, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, at Jefferson Hills Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1956, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Joseph Susick Sr. and Rita C. Misiak. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Michael was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was retired from Local 286, where he worked as a union laborer. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Moose, Slavic Club of North Charleroi, Rotolo Sports League, was an avid Pittsburgh Panthers fan and traveled with the former Golden Panthers, enjoyed golfing and trips to Myrtle Beach. He is survived by his wife, Linda Butera Susick, to whom he was married to for 34 years; son, Michael Susick Jr. and fiancée Stephanie Cole of Forrest Hills; daughter, Julie Susick of Mt. Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph Susick Jr. of Spring Hill, Fla., Timothy and Karen L. Susick of Belle Vernon, Theodore “Bear” and Marianne Susick of Washington Township, Terence “Slicker” and Tina Susick of Belle Vernon, and Mark and Mary Ann Susick of Perryopolis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a pet dog, Rory. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In accordance with state mandates, masks MUST be worn and social distancing must be maintained. Condolences are accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
