Robert E. “Bobby” Jackson, 57, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Pittsburgh. He was born July 29, 1963, to the late Joyce “Peanut” Jackson and Joseph E. “Bobby” Jackson of Beltzhoover, who still survives. Bobby was an active member of the Masons at the Most Worshipful Hiram Grand Lodge AF & AM of Pennsylvania. His love for the Masons took him on a journey that led him to the highest degree in Masonry, the 33rd and last Masonic degree, which earned him the title of Grand Inspector General, Illustrious Robert E. Jackson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph E. Jackson Jr., Eric J. Pope and William J. Thompson. In addition to his father, Joseph E. “Norm” Jackson; he is survived by two daughters, Ebony Jackson of Atlanta, Ga. and Brianna Jackson of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; five sisters, Anita Fields of Pricedale, Eva (Recardo) Hall of Monessen; Anita Jackson of Las Vegas; Robbyn Jackson of Detroit; and Leisa (Daryl) Washington of Beltzhoover; one brother, Deon Glover of Detroit; a companion of 22 years, JoAnn Christmas; a god-sister, Joyce Scott; and two very close friends, Kenny Wade and Brother Ewell “Yul” Holmes, 33rd degree. Friends will be received at the Monessen Civic Center, 861 Donner Ave, Monessen, from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 29, at which time the service will begin.
