A warrant was issued late Tuesday night for a Donora man who is accused of the shooting death of a Washington man and is suspected of a second shooting in Donora.
Zackory James Sadler, 36, is charged with criminal homicide, carrying a firearm as a former convict, carrying a firearm without a license and seven counts of recklessly endangering another person in connection with the shooting in the City of Washington.
Darnell Steven Brown, 41, of Washington was killed after he was shot at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Family Dollar on Highland Avenue, according to Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco.
Less than an hour later, at 4:28 p.m., police were called to 620 Heslep Ave. in Donora for a shooting.
Donora Police Superintendent Jim Brice said a man and woman were in an upstairs bedroom when “suddenly, there was a man standing over them with a gun.”
The female ran from the bedroom immediately, Brice said, and as she was going down the stairs she reportedly heard two gunshots.
Brice said the woman continued running until she was outside and then noticed the male shooter had also run outside.
The shooter was seen leaving the area in a black BMW that was later identified as stolen by Washington County emergency dispatchers.
