Mary C. Schmidt, age 101, of White Oak, died on Jan. 22, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on June 3, 1919, and is the daughter of the late Gabor and Susannah Bunyak Yunecko and the wife of the late Charles Schmidt. She was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of McKeesport. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening. She is survived by daughters, Debra (Larry) Boyko of White Oak, Cynthia (Tim) Indyk of White Oak and son, Larry (Nancy) Schmidt of Jefferson Hills; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah) Boyko, Kelly (John) Youkers, Brian (Tammy) Schmidt and Timothy Indyk; two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Yunecko, Irene Hurley and Ann Duffy; and brothers, Steve, John, George and Ed Yunecko. A family gathering took place at STRIFFLER’S OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES INC., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177, on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, and funeral services were held at the Evangelical Congregational Church with the Rev.
