Joseph A. Colosimo – Rostraver Township

Joseph A. Colosimo, 95, of Rostraver Township, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. Born in Charleroi on Dec. 19, 1925, he was the son of the late Ralph and Catherine Colosimo. Joseph was a truck driver and drove for Samuel’s, Express in Monessen, Laurel Mountain and Express in Pittsburgh. He was a member for more than 50 years of First Baptist Church in West Newton, where he was deacon and drove for the “Bus Ministry.” He was a member of the F&AM No. 593 Blyth Lodge of West Newton for 50 years, and he honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn M. Colosimo; son, William (Brenda) Colosimo of West Newton; daughter, Karen (Jim) Olwell of North Huntingdon; and granddaughter, Ashley Olwell (Dave) of North Huntingdon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, followed by interment in West Newton Cemetery.
