Diane Louise Ghion – Monongahela

Diane Louise Ghion, 81, of Monongahela, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, in the Haven Crest Nursing Center, Monongahela. She was born July 3, 1939, in North Charleroi, daughter of Roy and Grace Gemmell Carson. Diane was a retired Spanish and French teacher at Elizabeth Forward High School. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, reading (especially about history) and cooking. She is survived by her son, Cameron Ghion and wife Judy of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Jamie DeTal and husband Dustin; grandson, Daniel Ghion and Natalie Talarico; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ghion, who died Aug. 9, 2002; a sister, Judy Madden; and a brother, Stephen “Neil” Carson. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela.
