Charmaine T. Kucherawy – Washington, Pa., formerly of Stroal Acres

Charmaine T. Kucherawy, 88, of Washington, Pa., formerly of Stroal Acres, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at Southmont of Presbyterian Care, Washington, Pa. Born in Charleroi on Aug. 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Charles and Erma Bioux Columbine, she was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville and was a previous member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Roscoe. Charmaine worked in the gift shop at Monongahela Valley Hospital for a number of years and later volunteered as a member of the Monongahela Valley Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary. She is the loving mother of three sons, David (Jenny) Kucherawy of Washington Pa., Keith (Elaine) Kucherawy of Cecil Township and Chris (Tessie) Kucherawy of Upper St. Clair; two daughers, Laurie (Thomas) Trettel of Washington, Pa.,  and Karen (Tony) Consales of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Brooke Kucherawy, Cullyn Consales, Adrienne Consales, Kimberlee Consales, Demitra Kucherawy and Katerina Kucherawy; two great-grandchildren, Lailani and Mikaela Mbandi; her brother, Charles Columbine of Speers; and her sister, Erma Tuccelli of Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kucherawy, in 1991. Charmaine’s family would like to thank the staff at Hawthorne Woods and Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care for providing her with exceptional care, love and support. Visitation was private with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Katherine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Coal Center. The family requests that memorials in Charmaine’s name be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014, www.michaeljfox.org.
