Rodney A. Fizer – West Newton

Rodney A. Fizer, 76, of West Newton, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. Born in Monongahela on Jan. 28, 1944, he was the son of the late John R. and Helen L. Hassick Fizer. Rodney was a lifetime member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a maintenance worker at Smail’s Automotive and a forklift operator at International Paper. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed the family picnics. He is survived by his sisters, Doris (Jack) Bauer of Rostraver, Adrienne B. (Barnes) Allen of Waynesburg and Rebekah M. Fizer of Greensburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Natalie E. Allen. At Rodney’s request, there will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to JAMES C.
