Betty Myshin passed away on Jan. 10, 2021, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Daniel Myshin; her parents, Charles A. and Marcella Meier of Tidioute; a sister, Virginia Mykicz (Lt. Col. John), of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Charles W. Meier of Tidioute and Robert J. Meier (Vera) of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a son-in-law, Channing T. Sewell of Orlando, Fla. Betty is survived by her five children, Daniel M. Myshin (Patti) of Hummelstown, Pa.; Scott Myshin (Lorin) of Monessen; Terri L. Sewell of Orlando, Fla.; Wade Myshin of Orlando, Fla.; and Wayne Myshin of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who loved playing golf and card games with her family every chance that she could. She was a duplicate bridge grand master and enthusiastic member of several golf leagues, including the Fort Walton Beach Women’s Golf League, the Monessen Elks Ladies Golf League and the Linden Hall Ladies Golf League. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at EMERALD COAST FUNERAL HOME, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Beal Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com.
