Mon Valley Florida Reunion set to take place Feb. 27

Mon Valley snowbirds and local residents wanting to escape to the Florida sunshine are invited to the 41st annual Mon Valley Florida Reunion.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there are some changes to the reunion this year, namely its location. It is set for noon Feb. 27 at Cody’s Roadhouse, located at 2890 West Bay Drive, Belleair Bluffs, Fla.
The previous Cody’s location where the reunion had been held for many years is now closed. Face masks will be required for everyone in attendance when not eating or drinking.
Reunion organizers Dr. John Hisiro and his wife, Carol, of Fallowfield Township said that while they expect a smaller turnout due to COVID-19, they felt it was important to carry on the reunion tradition.
The couple believe the combination of warm weather, Cody’s relaxed atmosphere and a mutual love for the Mon Valley make the reunion a success year after year.
The Mon Valley Florida Reunion is one of several events that bring together former Valley residents living in the Sunshine State, as well as those who live here and elsewhere in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
