Margaret A. Majireck, 78, of Carroll Township, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in North Charleroi on Oct. 5, 1942, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Staffieri Ambrose. Mrs. Majireck retired from the Monongahela Valley Hospital Dietary Department in September 2020 after 32 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Sonny” Majireck Jr., on April 11, 2013; a daughter, Margaret Majireck; a son, John Majireck III; a granddaughter, Nicole Keenan; and a sister, Debra Ambrose. Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters, Marnie (Todd) Hayward of Vanderbilt, Melissa (Richard) Costello of Bentleyville and Melinda (Matthew) Graham of Elrama; eight grandchildren, Carey (Joe) Sphar, John (Cassie) Keenan, Derek Kurdilla (fiancee Lacy), Serena Costello (fiancee Cory), Angela Costello, Mia Graham, Madeline Graham and Mason Graham; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Sphar, Ashley Sphar, Nicholas Shrader and Hunter Keenan; a sister, Lynda Callaway; and a special son in-law, Bill Keenan; along with several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at the Donora campus of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish at noon Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.
