John J. “Butch” Krupa Jr., 82, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Jan. 8, 2021, in Uniontown Hospital from complications of COVID-19. He was born May 12, 1938, in Gallatin. Preceding him in death were parents, John Krupa Sr. and Anna Lenart Krupa; brother, Joseph G. Krupa Sr.; and a sister, Ann Krupa. Butch loved his second family at LaFayette Manor, where he spent the last 12 years. He always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed the company of the staff, doctors and other patients. Butch was always seen holding his radio and listening to the news. He had a soft spot for graham crackers and suckers. Even though Uncle John had disabilities and cerebral palsy, he had a heart that was his biggest asset. Surviving are nieces, Susan Yurkovich (David) and Deborah Fay (Stephen); nephew, Joseph G. Krupa Jr. and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family of John “Butch” Krupa would like to thank the caring staff of doctors, nurses and aides for the love and companionship they gave to our uncle for so many years. Due to coronavirus restrictions, funeral services and interment were private. Arrangements were handled by JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown.
