George M. Povich – Monessen

George M. Povich, 69, of Monessen, passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, in Cambridge Creekside Senior Living in Charle- roi after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Born in North Charleroi on Dec. 5, 1951, he was the son of the late George and Lorraine Lazzari Povich Jr. George retired from ArcelorMittal and Jules Service Station. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, the American Legion and the Croatian Club. Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Don Dolnack; and granddaughter, Annmarie Povich. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Jerry Hudak of Bethel Park; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Victoria Povich of Spring, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Willie Lozano of San Antonio, Texas; son, Brandon Povich, of Cranberry; and grandchildren, Brandon and Joseph Povich of Spring, Texas. George had a heart of gold and will be lovingly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave. Monessen, PA 15062, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be private. Entombment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, only 25 guests will be allowed inside the funeral home at a time. We ask that you please keep your stay short so we can accommodate everyone; also masks and social distancing are required. The family wishes to thank Mon Valley Hospital Sixth Floor Staff, Cambridge Creekside Senior Living and Amedisys Hospice Care.
