Larry Gene Lenzi Jr., 51, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, in his home. He was born Dec. 31, 1969, in New Eagle, the son of Cynthia Chambers Lenzi of Monongahela and the late Larry Gene Lenzi, Sr. who died Sept. 22, 2020. Larry was a 1989 graduate of Ringgold High School and was a certified welder. He had formerly worked at Quecreek Mine in Somerset County and Koppers Inc. in Monessen. Larry was also employed by several auto body shops in the Mon Valley. He enjoyed working on cars and riding his Harley. Larry loved camping, riding quads and spending time outdoors. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Larry G. Lenzi III and daughter, Chelsea Lenzi, both of Belle Vernon; granddaughter, Kylionna Lenzi; two brothers, Jeffrey A. and wife Julianne Lenzi of Coal Center, and Shaun R. Lenzi of Monongahela; two sisters, Amy L. Ward of Donora, and Nicole R. Lenzi of Monongahela; mother of his children, Dorothy Fine Lenzi; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A blessing service will be held during the visitation period at 7 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Doug Boyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Frye Funeral Home Inc. to help with funeral expenses. Donations are being accepted at the funeral home or online at www.fundthefuneral.com. In order to be compliant with our state guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, masks MUST be worn, social distancing maintained and only 25 people are permitted in the funeral home at a time.
