Juanita ‘Nita’ Larkin-Haney – Donora

By obits

Juanita “Nita” Larkin- Haney, 55, returned home to be with the Lord on Jan. 7, 2020. Juanita, affectionately referred to as “Nita” or “Nee Nee,” was born March 11, 1965, to parents James Thurman Larkin Sr. and Lois Jean Larkin. Nita had a gregarious personality with a compassionate heart, which made her a close confidant to many. Those same qualities also led her to a career in the medical field, as helping others was her true calling. As a child, Nita met the boy who would eventually become her husband and lifelong soulmate, Timothy Haney. The two enjoyed a blissful union for over 40 years and shared one child, their beloved son, Timothy Larkin-Haney of Miami, Fla. Nita was also devoted to and played a large role in the lives of her nieces and nephews: Brittany Larkin, originally of Donora, Cierra Larkin of Donora, Noah Simmons and Zoe Larkin of Belle Vernon and Richard Larkin of Donora. She was preceded in death by her father, James Larkin Sr.; and her sister, Sharon “Boonie” Larkin-Jones. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Haney and a host of other family and friends. Nita made a lasting impact on all who knew and adored her and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, at which time a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. Everyone attending the visitation and services must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Only 40 people are permitted in the funeral home at a time.
