Mary Eileen Nicholls – Greensburg, formerly of Belle Vernon

Mary Eileen Nicholls, 68, of Greensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. A daughter of the late Charles Daniel and Mary Helen Leeper Greenwood, she was born in Mt. Pleasant on Oct. 24, 1952. Formerly of Belle Vernon, Mary had been a resident of Greensburg since 1985. She had been employed as a custodian at Westmoreland County Public Works for many years. Mary enjoyed participating in activities at the McKenna Senior Center in Greensburg and enjoyed sewing, having been a member of the 4-H sewing club as a teen. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Buffy Rae and William David Roberts of Glendale, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Eve Annika Roberts; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mark Thomas Greenwood of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Charles P. and Karen Greenwood of Belle Vernon; and their children, Corey Greenwood, Heather Hibner and Aimee Jackson. There will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, PA, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Private graveside services will be held in West Newton Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Dail officiating.
