Sharon Pihota, 73, of Donora, passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at the Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing, Canonsburg. She was born in New Eagle, on June 10, 1947, a daughter of the late William Gust and Lila Metzler Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Pihota on May 12, 2000; a sister, Connie Mason Radic; and two brothers, James Mason and Gary Gust. Surviving to cherish her memory are her two children, Karen Gula and Robert Gula; five grandchildren, Chelsey, Lucas, Branson, Victoria and Mark; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra (Terry) Gnora, Annette (Wesley) Winters and Patricia (George) Peck; three brothers, Ed Gust, Jack (Alma) Mason and Ron (Kathy) Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSSFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 4 p.m. Thursday. Private interment will take place at later date in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, Pa. To be socially responsible during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will continue to limit the attendance to 25 people inside the funeral home at any given time. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home. Guests may be asked to limit their visitation times so that all visitors will have the opportunity to pay their respects. Thank you.
