Mary Trussa – Charleroi

Mary Trussa, 89, of Charleroi, died on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at Cambridge Hill, North Charleroi. She was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Roscoe, daughter of Emmett and Sarah Werton Mankin. She was Presbyterian by faith. Mary had worked as a bartender for many years at the Roscoe Slovak Club. She was a member of American Legion Post No. 801 Ladies’ Auxiliary in Roscoe and the Allenport Rod & Gun Club. Mary was a wonderful cook and baker and was an avid animal lover. She is survived by her son, Lance (Sherry) Trussa of Charleroi; two daughters, Lynn (Curt) Robb of Bristow, Va., and LuAnn Cope of Stockdale; seven grandchildren, Cari, Ricky, Kristen, Jeremy, Elliott, Adam and Brandon; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, Rachael and Estella. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Trussa, in 1982; a son, Larry Trussa; infant son, Mark; grandson, Ryan Cope; two brothers, Emmett and Werton Mankin; and two sisters, Carrie Masten and Martha Jean Miller. Lastly, she was also preceded by her furry four-legged kids: Myrt and Tazzy. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, with Pastor Brian Carroll.
