Daryl D. Reed – Belle Vernon
Daryl D. Reed, 81, of Belle Vernon, Lynnwood, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born June 30, 1939, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Paul Reed Sr. and Zolla Clingerman Reed. A resident of Lynnwood for the past 68 years, Mr. Reed was a member of First Christian Church of Monessen, was a retired foreman from U.S. Steel Irvin Works and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. He is survived by a son, Ryan D. Reed of Lynnwood; three daughters, Dawna Shipp of Virginia, Lisa D. Reed and partner Craig Duzyk of Belle Vernon, and Darla L. Reed and partner Scott Zemba of Belle Vernon; and a grandson, D.J. Naylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis L. Danko Reed on Dec. 11, 1991; two stepbrothers, Donald Reed and Paul Reed Jr.; and a stepsister, Betty McCleary. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Melissa Snyder of Perryopolis First Christian Church officiating at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Interment will take place Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Artemas, Pa. Masks must be worn and social distancing must still be maintained.
