Christopher F. Hardesty, 40, of Monongahela, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in his home. Born Aug. 15, 1980, in Monongahela, he is the son of Shelma Cottrill and husband Jim of Frankston, Texas, and Barry D. Hardesty (Lynne Johnson) of Monongahela. As well as his dad, Bill Myers of Royal, Pa. Chris attended Ringgold High School and enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and listening to music. Surviving in addition to his parents are, three sisters, Tasha Garcia of Tyler, Texas, Cristy Marie Redd of Palestine, Texas, and Lisa Recaldini of Monongahela; brother, John Hardesty of Donora; a stepsister, Becky Johnson of Monongahela; his paternal grandmother, Wanda Trumpie of Monongahela; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Sharon Christina and Edith Deems; and his aunt, Ada Hallam. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. At the family’s request funeral services will be private. In order to be compliant with our state guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing be maintained. Memorial contributions are being accepted at the funeral home on behalf of the family.
