Lincoln Richard Tidwell – Fort Worth, Texas

By obits

Lincoln Richard Tidwell, age 2, passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Lincoln was born on Dec. 27, 2017, in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents Amanda and Justin Tidwell. Born with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), which led to multiple other health issues, Lincoln spent most of his life at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Despite the challenges that Lincoln faced, he remained the funniest, most joyous and active little guy you had ever met. He loved people, music, movies and his best friend, a giant stuffed squid. He was often referred to as the “kid with the squid” or “Mr. President.” He loved life and enjoyed each day to its fullest, never acknowledging that he spent most of his life in the hospital. In his short time on Earth, he acquired a large following of supporters and “PHriends” and touched the lives of people across the nation. Lincoln is survived by his parents, Justin and Amanda; his paternal grandparents, Debbie and Bill Lewis of Boyd, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Diana and Rich Hall of Monessen; his aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Jason Smith of Lubbock, Texas, Joseph Tidwell of Weatherford, Texas and Jen and Randy Czaniecki of Finleyville; his cousins, Raylen, McKinley and Ayden Smith, Reagan, Leighton and Blaire Czaniecki; his long-time physician, Dr. Sami Hadeed, who never gave up on him; and many other beloved friends, family members and caretakers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Terry Tidwell and his “unofficial” aunt, Kelly Marsich. Funeral services are postponed due to the current pandemic. A celebration of life will be held in the future so that there are no limitations on attendance. Details on the celebration of life will be announced on Facebook (Lincoln’s Log). All will be invited. Donations may be made to Project Joy and Hope, www.joyandhope.org or to Team Phenomenal Hope, 3103 Piney Bluff Drive, South Park, PA 15129.
