Stella M. Ruccio, 93, of McKeesport, died Dec. 23, 2020, at LGAR Health & Rehabilitation Center of Turtle Creek. Born June 10, 1927, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Ann Kustra and the wife of Frank J. Ruccio for almost 71 years. Stella dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, and a Christian Mother at Corpus Christi Church. She was also a member of Polish National Alliance Lodge No. 352. Stella enjoyed cooking, baking and bingo club. She will always be remembered for hosting Christmas Eve and many other family events throughout her life. In addition to her husband, Stella is survived by her children, Christina (Wayne) Vallowe of Ashland, Ohio, Frank A. “Butch” (Sandra) Ruccio of McKeesport, Daniel J. (Terry) Ruccio of McKeesport, and Maria (Michael) Kotun of McKeesport; grandchildren, Erin (Eric) Mitchell, Ryan (Suzy) Vallowe, Josh Vallowe, Jonathan (Lucy Rose) Ruccio, Angela Ruccio, Adam Ruccio, Grant (Abbie) Ruccio, Jessica (Will) Barefield, Nicholas Kotun and Ashley (Joey) Manning; great-grandchildren, Cole, Cooper, Alex, Tucker, and Ivey Mitchell, Annabelle, Jackson, Jamieson and Charlie Vallowe, Kael and Adeline Vallowe, Eden, Hosanna, Isla and Suri Ruccio, Q, Selah and Silas Barefield, Logan and Layla Manning; siblings, Albert Kustra of McKeesport, Walter Kustra of North Huntingdon, Irene Squires of McKeesport and Eleanor Todaro of Edgewood, Md.; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Stella was also preceded in death by her brother, John Kustra. Arrangements were entrusted to JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers and burial followed in St. Mary’s Polish Cemetery.
