Margaret P. Hutchko, 99, of Elizabeth, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, in TLC Adult Care Center, West Newton. She was born July 7, 1921, in Bunola, the daughter of Bartolomeo and Mary Carletti Pellegrino. Margaret was a member of Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Monongahela, where she took pride in making halupki and was a member of their choir. She was a lifetime member of the Elizabeth Woman’s Club, a member of the former Elizabeth Homemakers and a past leader of the former Elizabeth 4-H Sewing Club. She is survived by three daughters, Justina (David) Burpee, Lisa (Greg) Eckhart and Linda Toscano; son-in-law, DJ (Sherri) Fogiato; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Hutchko; daughter, Margie Fogiato; son-in-law, James Toscano; two brothers, Stephen and Antonio Pellegrino; and a sister, Eleanor Pust. Private visitations and funeral services were held for the family. Margaret was laid to rest in Monongahela Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC. The family would like to thank ViaQuest Hospice and especially TLC Adult Care for its compassion and wonderful care of our mother.
