Dorothy M. Demas – Monessen

Dorothy M. Demas, 88, of Monessen, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at her residence. She was born on Oct. 28, 1932, in Monessen, daughter of the late Michael and Esther Marks Ferencz. Dorothy was a lifetime resident of Monessen and a graduate of Monessen High School. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church and worked as a secretary for her husband, the late Peter J. Demas, at his law office. Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Helmeke of Oakton, Va.; son-in-law, Raymond Michael Mandarino of Monessen; and a brother, Bill Ferencz of Las Vegas, Nev. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Demas Mandarino. A private family viewing and service was held at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, with Father Meletios Gianniodis officiating.
