Lynn Y. Prolenski Petticord, 68, of New Eagle, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, in Jefferson Hospital. Born June 2, 1952, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Prolenski and Jeanne L. Riden Prolenski-Thompson. Lynn was a 1970 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She was a homemaker, and since 1990, she and her husband, Glenn, owned Quick Response Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning in New Eagle. Surviving are her husband, Glenn E. Petticord, with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 15, 2021; a son, Brandon Petticord Jr. of New Eagle; her stepfather, Charles W. “Cajun” Thompson of New Eagle; a brother, Raymond Prolenski of Elrama; and two sisters, Pam Nagy of Monongahela and Cyndi Prolenski of North Charleroi; two sisters-in-law, Donna G. Nichols of Canonsburg and Sandra K. (Harry) Wentzell of Charleroi; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her son, Kevin E. Petticord, who died July 12, 2017; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Lou Manner, who died in 1990. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, with Pastor Josh Green officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth. In order to be compliant with our state guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing be maintained, only 10 people are permitted in the funeral home at a time.
