Kenneth D. Meek, 65, of Avella, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, in his home. He was born Aug. 2,1955, in New Eagle, the son of the late Alfred J. and Marion E. Rhodes Meek. Ken was a 1973 graduate of Bentworth High School. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing and was as an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by three sisters, Karen Meek and husband Dane Waters of Avella, Cindy Slanczka of Elkton, Va., Kathy Burnisky of Donora; four brothers, Ronald and wife Robin Meek of Espyville, Richard Meek of Elizabeth, Edward Meek of Monongahela; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles. In additon to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Meek. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005, www.donatenow.heart.org. Private visitations and funeral services were held for the immediate family. Ken was laid to rest in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
