Chad Nicholas Gibson – Charleroi

Chad Nicholas Gibson, 35, of Charleroi, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at his home. Chad was born at Washington Hospital to Donna Sawyer of Charleroi. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran, having been stationed in Germany from 2006-2009 and a tour in Iraq from 2007-2008. He was self employed as a tattoo artist. Chad was very involved with Club Serenity in Charleroi. In addition to his mother, Donna, he is also survived by his life partner, Sarah Bourne of Charleroi; a son to be born in March 2021: a son, Sebastian Lee Richardson of Bentleyville; and four sisters, Ronny Sawyer of Donora, Michelle Anderson of Sarasota, Fla., Brenna O’Hare of Belle Vernon and Cortney O’Hare of Charleroi. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas O’Hare. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, at which time private funeral services will be held at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Interment with military honors will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Online condolences may be expressed at www.melenyzer.com. Due to the COVID-19 state mandate, only 10 visitors will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Masks are mandatory and we ask you to respect social distancing. Lastly, we are asking that visitors keep their visits to five minutes or less.
