Lee Roy Hixenbaugh, 84, of Bethel Park, passed away on Dec. 18, 2020, at Bald-win Health Center. Lee was born in Monongahela, son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Hixenbaugh. He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 60 years, Gail Brown Hixenbaugh of Bethel Park; and their son, Mark. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herb; both his parents and his in-laws. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Ms. Romana Daugherty Hixenbaugh of Allentown, Pa.; and cousins, Sister Agnes McCormick, OLC, and Mr. Bill Gamble, both of Pittsburgh. Lee graduated from Monongahela High School and attended both Penn State University and California University of Pennsylvania. He was employed by National Cash Register Corps and Mine Safety Equipment until his retirement. He was a lifelong, devout Catholic and served for many years in several faith formation programs at St. Valentine’s and St. Thomas More parishes in Bethel Park. He served with his wife as eucharistic ministers. Lee was an avid, talented photographer who built his own dark room and provided beautiful, enriching photo histories of both his immediate and extended families. His talents extended to include music, where he enjoyed playing the guitar with friends. There will be no public visitation. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Bethel Park at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, followed by interment at Monongahela Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to PAUL HENNEY CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, Bethel Park.
