Deacon Eugene M. ‘Gene’ Garner – Monessen

Deacon Eugene M. “Gene” Garner, 77, of Monessen departed this Earthly life peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020. Born on June 30, 1943, in Arnold City, he was the son of the late James and Nancy Garner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Garner, Samuel Sellers and James Sellers; and one sister, Lillian Sellers-Gordon. Left to cherish Gene’s memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Garner; two daughters, Tammy Snow of Las Vegas and Karen Garner of Monessen; one son, Danna Gene Fenney of the state of California; one granddaughter, Brittany Jackson; two grandsons, Travis and Nicholas Fenney; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon (Denise) Garner; four sisters, Memory Graham, Marie (Norman) William, Retha Sellers and Delane Garner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, Christian Life Ministries church family and friends. Due to COVID-19 there will be no funeral service.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen, PA 15062, 724-684-4877.
