Audrey L. Cunningham – Monessen

By obits

Audrey L. Cunningham, 75, of Monessen, departed this life on Dec. 16, 2020. She was born on April 25, 1945, the daughter of the late Kathryn and James Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Williams; and two brothers, Paul Loines Sr. and Robert Cunningham. Audrey retired after 35 years from retail management in New York City and returned to the Mon Valley in 1999. In later years, she was part-time office staff at Orchard Christian Fellowship in Monessen. She was quick witted, believed in speaking her mind and had a quirky sense of humor. Audrey was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, always decked out in black and gold on game day and ready to cheer them on, win or lose. For several years, she chaired the activity committee at her senior high-rise, volunteered for special fundraisers, promoted voter registration and served as a judge of elections. She was a long-time, active and faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen. Left to cherish Audrey’s memory are her only sister, Barbara Woodson and husband Louis Sr., a devoted brother-in-law; special friend, Charles “Bubby” Dickerson, all of Monessen; and a sister-in-law, Mary Loines of Cleveland, Ohio. Also surviving are two nieces, four nephews, 17 great-nieces and great-nephews, along with a host of great-great nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins, church family and dedicated friends. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, with funeral services immediately following at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave. in Monessen, with Bishop Karl Jackson officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. Due to COVID-19, CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines apply, requiring face masks and social distancing. Final celebration have been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Pa., Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
