Wilma Lundy Furlong – Allenport

Wilma Lundy Furlong, 83, of Allenport, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at her home. Born in Charleroi on July 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Jewel Slaughter Lundy. Wilma was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1955. She was a member of the Allenport Civic Club and the Charleroi Elks. Wilma was retired from the University of Pittsburgh, where she had worked as a data coordinator for medical research study for Alzheimer’s, and was an EMT/paramedic for Five Town Ambulance. She is survived by her husband, Elverson “Huck” Furlong of Allenport; two sons, Danny Furlong and partner Alfred of Eureka, Calif., and Scott and wife Jennifer of Elizabeth; a daughter, Cynthia Furlong and partner Sharon of Mapleview; and a sister, Sandra Lundy Lambert of San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Lundy Jr. of Fontana, Calif. There will be no public visitation. At a later date, a celebration of life for Wilma’s wonderful life will be held at the Allenport Community Park, where everyone will be invited.
