John R. Gaidos – Charleroi

Private services were held for John R. Gaidos, 88, of Charleroi, who passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020. Born on March 30, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Anna Gaidos. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Penn State University and was a retired draftsman for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport. John is survived by his wife, Lillian Gaidos; sons, John M. (Karyn) Gaidos of Macomb, Mich., David A. (Suzanne) Gaidos of Deer Park, Ill., and Gerard Gaidos of Carson, Calif.; grandchildren, J.T. Gaidos and Leah Peyton Gaidos; sister, Margaret Urda of Charleroi; nephew, Tom Urda of Charleroi; sisters-in-law, Frances (Phil) Lopresti of Monessen, Virginia (Jim) Stefan of Charleroi, Judy (Mike) Null of Charleroi, and Carol (Kevin) Madrishin of Charleroi; nephew, Fred (Val) Urda; niece, Susan (Dan) McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Fred Urda. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi. CARL J.
