George E. Koleck – Pittsburgh, formerly of Roscoe

By obits

George E. Koleck, 89, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Roscoe, passed on to the Lord on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020. He was the husband of the late Helen Zugel Koleck; father of the late George J. Koleck (Carol) and Vince Koleck; grandfather of Pamela Keller, George Andrew, Anthony, Karl and Kevin; and great-grandfather of Carmen, Leila and Levi. George lived all his life on Latta Avenue in Roscoe until three years ago. He worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport plant, for 44 years. George was an interesting man. Always loved to tell a story. He had many collections: arrowheads, beer cans, coins and stamps. Now his grandchildren are enjoying them. He and Helen loved ethnic music and especially Croatian music. They spent a lot of their retirement involved with the St. George Adult Tamburitzans group of Cokeburg and all their travels in the states and abroad. There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass was held Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at St. Katherine Drexel Church. Arrangements by GREENLEE’S BENTLEYVILLE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to The Croatian Fraternal Union “Scholarship Fund” 100 Delaney Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
