Delores E. French – Rostraver Township

Delores E. French, 91, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at her Rostraver Township home. Born in North Charleroi on March 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Nutting Leach. She was the last surviving member of her family of five sisters and two brothers. Delores was a graduate of Charleroi High School and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Charleroi since 1952. She served actively for several years and participated in projects and activities throughout the Mon Valley community. She had lived at Atria Senior Living for four years. She was married for 62 years to her beloved husband, Jack Landy French, who passed away in 2015. Delores is remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and special aunt to several nieces and nephews and was a loyal friend. She always put her family first; her greatest joy was her granddaughters! She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo French of Pittsburgh and Laurie (Jim) Lehr of Sarasota, Fla.; son, Jack (Dana) French of Rostraver; and her cherished granddaughters, Jordan French and Natalie French. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934), www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Matthew Stabe officiating. Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either Christ Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022; or to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association. Everyone attending the visitation and services must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Only 10 people are permitted in the funeral home at a time.
