Jennifer Marie Lester Riffle, 35, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1985, in Monongahela, the daughter of Keith and Patty J. Beaken Lester of Monongahela. Jennifer was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Home Education Accreditation Agency (PHEAA) and from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood and special education. After graduation, she taught for a few years in Columbus, Ohio. As a teenager, Jennifer started working at the Monongahela Eat n’ Park and worked there on and off for 15 years until her health did not permit her to do so. She was a member of Journey by Grace Church in Rostraver Township and was active in its choir and women’s Bible study. Jennifer loved to crochet and was a caretaker to her grandmother, Connie. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, BJ Riffle, at home; two brothers, Clifford and his wife Jill Lester of Plain City, Ohio, and Joshua Lester and his fianceé Maegan Smith of Covington, Tenn.; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Connie Munger Lester; nephew and nieces, Keith, Ruth and Ophelia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Louis and Gladys Walsh Beaken. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Journey by Grace Church, 4803 State Route 51 North, Belle Vernon, PA 15012, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, with the Rev. William Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.Contributions in Jennifer’s memory may be made to Journey by Grace Church at the above address.
