Bernice Marie Ostrander Gilmore, 94, of Montgomery, Texas, formerly of Monongahela, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2020. She was born July 29, 1926, in Coverdale, the daughter of Earl F. and Agnes Simpson Ostrander. Bernice was a 1944 graduate of Clairton High School. She lived on Victory Hill for almost 50 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monongahela. She is survived her daughter, Deborah (Joe) De Los Santos of Montgomery, Texas; son, Robert (Adeline) Gilmore of Monongahela; four grandchildren, Tracey (Fred) Crompton, Shaun (Tiffany) Sylvester, Kelley (Edward) Terrazas and Nicole Gilmore; seven great- grandchildren, Amber and Alayna Sylvester, Alexandria and Madilyn Terrazas, Reagen, Cadence and Lyla; and multiple four-legged friends of Tracey’s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gilmore, who died Oct. 17, 2010; and two sisters, Lillian Houseman and Naomi Tucholski Kunkle. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, at which time services will be held with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. In order to be compliant with our state guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, masks MUST be worn and social distancing maintained.
