Sandra Natali Eakin – Bentleyville

Sandra Natali Eakin, 87, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in her home. Born April 10, 1933, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of Marino “Freckles” and Grayce Bianchi Natali. Sandra was a 1951 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Pittsburgh. Before becoming president of Nat Industries in Bentleyville, Sandy was the owner of Sandy’s Supermarket in Monongahela. As a child, Sandy rode saddlebred horses around the tri-state area and was one of the founding members of the Western Pennsylvania Girls Barrel Racing Association. For many years, she owned standard-bred racehorses under Nat Industries at the Meadows and was proud to have been asked to be the outrider in the year after the opening of the Meadows Race Track. With her late husband, Paul, she always loved showing their quarter horses. Surviving are a daughter, Natalie Biagini of Monongahela; her sister, Celeste Spernak of Bentleyville; a niece, Christine Kruki of Monongahela; brothers-in-law, William (Shirley) Eakin of Rea, Pa., and John (Rosemary) Eakin of Hookstown; a sister-in-law, Patricia (John) Post of Avella; her dog, Baci; and her former son-in-law, Bob Biagini of Monongahela. Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Eakin, who died in 1964. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. A Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, with Deacon Al Poroda. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Guests are asked to please wear face masks and abide by personal protective guidelines and social distancing.
