Leroy B. Bright, 77, of Monessen, died Sunday Nov. 29, 2020, in AGH Jefferson Hospital. He was born on Dec. 2, 1942, in North Charleroi, the son of the late John Bright Sr. and Elsie Carter Bright. Leroy was a life-long resident of Monessen and a 1960 graduate of Monessen High School. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Monessen and American Legion Post 945. He retired from the Westmoreland County Housing Authority, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor for 53 years. Leroy also worked as a disc jockey and was know as “LB on Sounds.” He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Bucci Bright; a son, Leroy Bright Jr. of New Bedford, Mass.; three daughters, Lee Ann Madison, Lisa Bright (James) Floyd and Leslie Bright, all of Monessen; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and by his three best friends, Art “Skip” Currenton, Brody David-Lee Hison and Dave Stanisz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Private viewing and funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES with Elder William C. Bass officiating. Interment followed in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
