Margaret ‘Maggie’ Bove Toretti – Monongahela

Funeral services were held for Margaret “Maggie” Bove Toretti, 92, of Monongahela, who died Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at Residence at Hilltop, Carroll Township. Born April 28, 1928, in Courtney, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna Visco Bove. A homemaker, Maggie was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (formerly St. Anthony Church) in Monongahela and had belonged to their Altar Rosary and Christian Mother Society. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lynn Toretti of Monongahela; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tom Petraglia of Jefferson Hills; three grandchildren, Sara (Collin) Hutterer, Jonathan (Michelle) Lashley and Jaclyn Lashley; two great-grandsons, Alex and Nate Lashley; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert E. “Skip” Toretti, who died April 18, 2009; five brothers Michael, James, Louis, Carmen and Jake Bove; and two sisters, Laura Ursits and Mary Cedar. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, with Father Kevin Dominik officiating. Interment was held in Monongahela Cemetery. A public memorial Mass for Margaret will be announced and held at a later date. Contributions can be made in Maggie’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
