Barbara A. Williams Mentzer, 66, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at Whitetail Springs Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, Castle Shannon. Born May 15, 1954, in Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of Robert E. Davis and Eleanor A. Greaves Davis of Florida. A resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 31 years, Barbara was Lutheran by faith, a retired teacher with the Private Industry Council (PIC) and the Belle Vernon Area School District in the gifted program at the elementary schools, served as the advisor with the school’s Leo Club and the Rostraver Middle school paper. She is survived by her husband Brian Mentzer, to whom she was married 31 years; two sons and daughter-in-law, Nathaniel DeLattre of Greensburg, Beaux ‘Devon’ and Holly DeLattre of McDonald; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Peggy Williams of Monroeville, Paul and Pam Williams of Dunnellon, Fla.; five grandchildren, Arin DeLattre, Brynn DeLattre, Shyla DeLattre, Declan DeLattre, Ashlynn DeLattre; niece, Michelle Angers and a nephew, Jonathan Williams. She was preceded in death by her biological father John Williams Jr. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. with the Rev.
