Elco Civic Club: COVID-19 won’t keep Santa from making his annual visit

The pandemic won’t prevent Santa from making his annual stop in Elco this year.

The jolly old elf, and possibly some of his helpers, will be at the Elco Civic Club from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, continuing a holiday tradition.

Civic Club officer Larry Pollock said there will be a few changes this year to make sure Santa and all the children stay healthy for the holidays.

“Instead of keeping them there for a couple hours, we’re inviting them to come in and meet with Santa, get a treat and head out,” Pollock said. “We normally get about 75 children, but we don’t know what to expect this year. Some parents may be concerned.”
