William V. Hruby – Rostraver Township

William V. Hruby, 86, of Rostraver Township, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. He was born July 7, 1934, a son of the late Paul and Johanna Bazuch Hruby. William was a retired business owner/contractor in the Mon Valley area. With his love of dogs, he was a lifetime member of the Webster Beagle Club and a proud holder of AKC titles. He is survived by his son, William P. Hruby; daughter, Janice Hruby Reed; grandchildren, William and Christopher Hruby, Katie Yoder (Luke) Kovalchuk, Michelle Manko (Jason) Ciferno; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Novella Kaye and Jayanna; sister, Mary Patik; brothers, Emil (Cindy) Hruby, Arthur (Donna) Hruby and Raymond (Georgie) Hruby; several nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend, Chris Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores L. Nogy Hruby in 2018; daughter, Cathy Hruby Manko in 2007; son, Gerald Hruby in 1992; brothers, Robert, Paul, George, Edward, David, John, Sylvester and Alfred Hruby; sisters, Margaret Benczo, Velma Galiffa and Florence Huntoon. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, family and friends are welcome to pay their respects through our visitation window from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be livestreamed at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, with Rev. David J. Nazimek officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. All in attendance are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
