During her recruitment process, Bri Sersevic fielded a number of college offers.

The Elizabeth Forward senior considered playing softball at schools such as Seton Hill, La Salle University in Philadelphia and Frostburg State University in Maryland.

When ultimately deciding where she wanted to spend her next four years, however, none could quite compare to Alderson Broaddus.

Sersevic, a standout catcher for the Warriors, will get the opportunity to continue her academic and softball careers with the Battlers beginning next year. She signed her national letter of intent to play for AB and head coach Luke Shamblin on Monday.

“Having the opportunity to play at the collegiate level has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl,” Sersevic said. “With all of the support I have had from all of my coaches, especially my father and coach (Harry) Rutherford, I wanted to prove to them that I was capable of playing at the collegiate level.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity that coach Shamblin and coach (Kristen) Hawkins have given me to play at the collegiate level.”
