Gloria Zeli, 89, of Speers, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at The Residence at Hilltop in Mon- ongahela. Born March 8, 1931, in Charle- roi, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Louise Celaschi and the spouse of the late Raymond Zeli, to whom she was married for 62 years. Mrs. Zeli was a resident of Speers and a member of Mary Mother of the Church in Charleroi. Early in Gloria’s life, she worked at Miller’s Department Store. Throughout her life, she was very active in her church, where she belonged to the Women’s Altar Society and participated in many church events. Gloria loved playing cards and belonged to various card clubs, where she enjoyed played bridge and 500 with her friends. She loved taking trips to the Meadows and spending quality time with her family. She took pride in taking regular family vacations with her children and grandchildren over the years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Karen Zeli of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Darla Zeli-Yuss and Fred Yuss of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Garrett Bogden (Courtney), Nate Zeli and Nick Zeli; sister, Joyce Tonozzi (Art); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Lawrence Celaschi; and sister Dorothy Litavec. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Andrew The Apostle Roman Catholic Church (formerly Mary Mother of the Church), Charleroi. Entombment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Gloria Zeli to St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.
