Minnie Kucia, 92, of Donora, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on Dec. 20, 1927, in Donora, a daughter of the late Michael and Kathryn Albert. Minnie loved Donora and was a lifelong resident. She spent many years working for Equibank in Pittsburgh. Minnie was Orthodox by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kucia; two sisters, Rose Tominello and Sadie Urban; three brothers, Michael Albert, George Albert and Younan Salim; nephew, Michael Tominello; and great-niece, Terri Lynn Milliern. Surviving to cherish her memory are her brother, Esau “Brownie” Albert of Carroll Township; one sister, Elizabeth Albert of Donora; one sister-in-law, Elaine Albert of Carroll Township; was a devoted aunt loved by her nieces and nephews, Joyce Morgan, Carol Jean Milliern, Adeline Gilmore, Karl Urban, Vicki Wyvratt, Ken Albert, Lee Ann Stevenson, Lorrie Albert, George Albert, Salim Salim, Eisa Salim, Nawal Salim, Nadwa Salim and Manera Salim; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She is also survived by many cousins, friends and caregivers. The family was so appreciative of ViaQuest Hospice and the wonderful care that was provided by Joan, Jamie and Melanie. Also, her devoted friend and neighbor Melissa and caregivers Sue and Pati. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Donora Library or Bridge to Home Animal Rescue in Eighty Four, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. We appreciate in this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that it would not be a socially responsible decision and in the best health interest of our family and friends to have a public visitation.
