The Mon Valley Independent-BeeGraphix Fab 15 Soccer All-Star teams will be revealed tonight at 8 p.m. on our MVI Live YouTube channel or by clicking the link on MVILive.com.

The teams will be announced during the broadcast of the Fab 15 Awards Show, which was recorded Wednesday at BeeGraphix in Belle Vernon.

The Mon Valley Independent and BeeGraphix handed out hardware Wednesday for 12 award winners, with interviews of players and coaches.

Taking home plaques this year were the following:

• Boys Coach of the Year – Doug Finke, Elizabeth Forward

• Girls Coach of the Year – Andrew Dyson, South Allegheny

• Boys Goalkeeper of the Year – TJ Watson, Belle Vernon

• Girls Goalkeeper of the Year – Maddison Sippey, Thomas Jefferson

• Boys Defender of the Year – AJ Getsy, Thomas Jefferson

• Girls Defender of the Year – Adeline Guess, Belle Vernon

• Boys Newcomer of the Year – Jake Chambers, Charleroi

• Girls Newcomers of the Year – Bella Carroto & McKenna “Boots” DeUnger, Charleroi

• Boys Player of the Year – Eben McIntyre, Charleroi

• Girls Player of the Year – Jillian Butchki, Belle Vernon

The boys Leadership Award winner was Belle Vernon Area’s Daniel Sassak.

The “Moe” Rosensteel Leadership Award winner was Ringgold’s Abbigale Whaley. The award was renamed last year after the sudden and tragic death of Ringgold’s Kaitlyn Rosensteel. Her father, Ed Rosensteel, has founded the Kaitlyn “Moe” Rosensteel Scholarship Foundation in her memory, which awards a scholarship each year to the top player in the WPIAL as voted on by foundation members and members of the media.

He was on hand Wednesday to present the award to Whaley.

The award winners were selected based on nominations by coaches in the Mon Valley Independent readership (13 schools) and members of the MVI Sports staff.
