Thomas E. Mathews Sr. – North Charleroi

Thomas E. Mathews Sr., 79, of North Charleroi, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2020. Born in Star Junction on May 1, 1941, he was the son of the late David and Opal Varner Mathews. Thomas worked for the Hays Plant of U.S. Steel. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the music of the Old Time Fiddlers Association. He is survived by his wife, Debbie M. Rockidge Mathews; sons, Thomas Mathews Jr., Roy Mathews and Paul Mathews; daughters, Melissa Mathews and Debi French; stepdaughters, Jennifer Henney and Julie Biris; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta (Arthur) Young. At Thomas’ request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to JAMES C.
