Gerald A. Franks – Monongahela

Gerald A. Franks, 84, of Monongahela, died in Jefferson Hospital. Born Oct. 24, 1935, in Donora, he was the son of Anthony and Virginia Roule Franks. Mr. Franks worked at the former RCA Plant in Meadowlands until their closing and then the AEG/Alsom Inc. in Speers until his retirement. An avid photographer, he was a 1953 graduate of the former Donora High School. Surviving are three sons, James Franks of Monessen, Donald Franks of Charleroi and Dean Franks of Donora; a daughter, Michelle DeRosa of Bentleyville; six grandchildren, John DeRosa III and Angela DeRosa, Michelle, Kylee and Jobe Franks and Devin Wozniak-Franks; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Thomas, Nevaeh Szakal and X’eriee, Zi’la and Ji’leer Stubbs. Preceding him in death was a son, Mark Franks; two grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Erica Franks; and his son-in-law, John DeRosa Jr. At the family’s request services were private.
